Review of Week 3 of Unit of Inquiry

Week 3 of Unit of Inquiry
Central Idea: Technology has altered ways of communicating causing new responsibilities to evolve.

PYP 7 Omega putting the finishing touches to the Sutori presentation
Last week, the third week of our unit, pupils presented research, that they had worked on the previous week, which was based on a particular device or communication tool and looking at how it has developed over time. Pupils used on an online timeline programme called Sutori to present their research.

Before presenting their research, pupils come up with some do and don’ts to help them clearly understand what is required to make a good presentation. As is often practiced throughout the school, pupils make a rubric, enabling them to see where they are and instructs them the next stage to work towards. A pupil made rubric is a very useful tool for pupils to self and peer evaluate. Below is PYP 7 Sigma’s rubric.
