A look at last week!

Unit 4 comes to an end!

Last week students had the opportunity to apply their understanding of the central idea and lines of inquiry and create a communication tool that could be used in the future. Students were both enthusiastic and reflective when designing their communication tools.
During the summative, students also demonstrated their understanding of the key concepts: change, responsibility and connection as well as their ability to apply the features of an explanation text when creating a user guide for their tool. Their  communication tools were diverse, ambitious and useful. Please see google classroom for more images leading up to the summative assessment. Last week was also Book Week and PYP 7 participated in a lot of exciting activities. Parents read stories, we watched a presentation from SUPPA, we took part in special activities during the afternoons with other primary teachers, and dressed up as our favourite adventure book characters. It was a blast! See the highlights below.
